As part of its Firestop System division, KRON is supplying INCA Firestop products for The Avenues Riyadh, supporting the project with tested and certified passive fire protection solutions.
For this prestigious development, KRON supplied INCA INSS1186 Elastomeric FireCaulk, a high-performance firestop sealant engineered for dynamic construction joints and applicable fire-rated assemblies.
The Avenues Riyadh – A Landmark Development
Located in North Riyadh at the strategic intersection of King Salman Road and King Fahad Road, The Avenues Riyadh is being developed as one of the region’s most prominent commercial and mixed-use destinations.
The development spans approximately 1.8 million square meters of built-up area and includes a major retail mall together with five multipurpose towers.
The project is designed to incorporate:

Elastomeric Fire Caulk Fire Sealant – INSS1186
INSS1186 is a premium water-based elastomeric firestop sealant engineered to seal dynamic joints and service penetrations. It is designed to maintain outstanding flexibility even after curing, making it an essential component in modern firestop systems.
Global Certifications: UL 2079, ULC S115, ASTM E1966, ASTM E2307
Packaging Options: 310 ml cartridge, sausage pack, 1-gallon pail, 5-gallon pail
Shelf Life: 2 years

INSS1186 is supported by UL and Intertek certifications, with its performance dependent on the specific listed firestop assembly and installation configuration.
Application & Installation
Proper surface preparation and installation are essential to achieving the intended performance of any Firestop system. For applicable INSS1186 joint systems, the installation process includes:
1. Surface Preparation Surfaces are cleaned from dirt, oil, rust, dust, or previous adhesive materials to provide a suitable surface for adhesion.
2. Backing Material Where required by the tested system, mineral wool insulation is installed within the joint opening as a permanent backing material.
3. Firestop Application INSS1186 is applied to the specified depth and configuration over the backing material and onto the required substrate surfaces.
4. Vertical Applications For vertical applications, multiple thinner coats may be applied to achieve the required thickness while minimizing sag.
5. Curing The material is allowed to cure in accordance with the manufacturer’s technical requirements and the applicable project conditions.
All installations must follow the applicable tested/listed Firestop system, approved shop drawings, project specifications, manufacturer’s technical documentation, and approved installation requirements.
