Intumescent Fireproof Primer – DC360
DC360 Fireproof Paint is a high-performance low VOC, water-based, thin-film intumescent fire retardant and fire-resistant coating. DC360 has been tested to provide fire rating meeting IBC/IRC Building Codes for fire resistance and meets ASTME84 and UL723 Flame Spread and Smoke ratings as a Class A coating.
DC360 has been tested for use on many substrates including, Wood, OSB, Plywood, Gypsum, and more. DC360 is used to increase fire resistance on floor and ceiling assemblies, wall assemblies, roof-ceiling assemblies, and individual structural members. DC360 Fireproof Paint can be applied to combustible materials in attic spaces to meet ignition resistant material thus allowing the elimination of costly sprinkler systems in many applications. Or DC360 can take a non-rated ½” gypsum board up to a 1 hr. rating, saving significant money on retrofit projects by eliminating the need to replace existing material while also gaining valuable LEEDS points!
- DC 360 can be applied by brush, roller or airless sprayer. For maximum yield and coverage spray application is recommended.
- All surfaces to be coated must be clean, cured, firm, dry and free of dust, dirt, oil, wax, grease, mildew, and efflorescence.
- DC 360 must be thoroughly mixed before application. Failure to do so will seriously compromise the coating’sability to perform
- It is recommended to perform mechanical stirring with a high speed drill and a paddle appropriate for the size container you are working from. Contents should be stirred from the bottom up making sure to scrape the bottom and sides with a paint stick as you go. Contents should be stirred to a creamy consistency with no lumps.
- If DC 360 has been exposed to high heat, water may evaporate from the plastic 5 gallon container. If the paint level is below 3 inches from the top of the container, add enough water to bring the level back up to within 3 inches from the top in order to ensure proper consistency.
- DC 360 is best applied with an airless sprayer to achieve a more consistent mil thickness.

Finish: Flat
Packaging: 5 Gallon Pails
Color: Off White
V.O.C.: 6.2 g/l
