AMAALA Wellness Project

AMAALA Wellness Project is one of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious luxury wellness and tourism developments, located along the northwestern coast of the Kingdom on the Red Sea. Developed by Red Sea Global (RSG), AMAALA is designed as a world-class destination centered around wellness, luxury hospitality, art, nature, and regenerative tourism.

The destination brings together a range of integrated assets, including luxury resorts, residences, wellness facilities, hospitality venues, marine and lifestyle facilities, and supporting infrastructure. The development is designed around the principles of sustainability, environmental stewardship, and transformative wellness, establishing AMAALA as a new benchmark for luxury tourism in Saudi Arabia.

AMAALA includes the Wellness Core, which incorporates medical and integrative wellness experiences designed to support health, wellbeing, and longevity. The development also forms part of Saudi Arabia’s wider Vision 2030 ambition to establish the Kingdom as a leading global tourism destination

Elastomeric Fire Caulk Fire Sealant – INSS1186

INSS1186 Elastomeric FireCaulk is a water based, low VOC, halogen, asbestos and organic solvent free product...

INSS1186 is a water-based acrylic elastomeric firestop sealant designed to provide flexible fire protection for dynamic construction joints and selected firestop applications.

The product maintains flexibility after curing and is designed to accommodate movement within dynamic joint systems while maintaining adhesion to common construction substrates

Key product characteristics include:

  • Product Type: Water-based acrylic elastomeric firestop sealant
  • Movement Capability: Up to ±12.5% in applicable tested systems
  • Application: Brush, roll coating, bulk caulking gun, trowel, or airless spray
  • Water Based: Yes
  • Organic Solvent Free: Yes
  • Halogen Free: Yes
  • Asbestos Free: Yes
  • Low VOC: Designed with low-emission characteristics
  • Shelf Life: 2 years
  • Curing Time: Approximately 3–7 days depending on thickness and ambient conditions
  • Application Temperature: 5°C to 40°C
  • Service Temperature: Approximately -25°C to 80°C

Technical Characteristics
INSS1186 provides a combination of fire resistance, flexibility, adhesion, and ease of application, making it suitable for demanding construction environments.

INSS1186 is suitable for applications including:

  • Head-of-wall joints
  • Wall-to-wall joints
  • Wall-to-floor joints
  • Floor-to-floor joints
  • Dynamic construction joints
  • Selected through-penetration applications in tested/listed systems

INSS1186 has been tested in accordance with recognized firestop standards, including UL 2079 and ULC S115 for applicable dynamic joint systems. Technical documentation published by KRON also identifies applicable ASTM and CAN/ULC performance ratings for tested configurations.

Firestop Performance

The INSS1186 system is designed to help maintain the required fire-resistance performance of rated building elements by sealing joints and openings that could otherwise provide a pathway for fire and smoke migration.

Depending on the specific tested system and installation configuration, INSS1186 can provide fire-resistance performance for dynamic joint applications while accommodating movement caused by building movement, thermal expansion, contraction, and other service conditions.

The product has supporting technical documentation including UL and Intertek certificates of compliance, as published by KRON.

KRON – Firestop Supply Partner

Through the supply of INCA Firestop products, KRON supports major construction and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia with passive fire protection solutions focused on safety, compliance, and reliable technical performance.

KRON’s Firestop portfolio includes a comprehensive range of firestop sealants, caulks, collars, boards, mortars, and other passive fire protection products for applications involving pipes, cable trays, conduits, penetrations, construction joints, and fire-rated assemblies.

Application & Installation:

For applicable joint systems, the installation process generally includes preparing the substrate by removing dirt, oil, rust, dust, and other contaminants to ensure proper adhesion.

Where required by the tested system, mineral wool insulation is installed within the joint opening as a permanent backing material. INSS1186 is then applied to the specified depth and configuration in accordance with the approved Firestop system and project requirements.

The material can be applied to both horizontal and vertical surfaces. For vertical applications, multiple thinner coats may be used to achieve the required depth while minimizing sag during installation.

All installations should follow the applicable approved Firestop system, project specifications, manufacturer’s technical documentation, and approved installation requirements.
